We ill also have cross country registration.

I feel very proud to see this girl run!! :) Jaques, Carli. She is in Lane 1. She got 3rd place in the Girls 400m AA 1:26.14 and 6th in the 100m AA 17.58, 2013 LA City Track & Field Championships.

This girl ran for Bears back in 2010!!! I remember her being one of the most hardest working runners I've coach!! :)

Congratulations to 9th grader Mayra Huerta for winning 1st place in the Valley Mission League 1600m F/S 5:47.21 and 3200m F/S 13:15, (2nd place was a minute behind. 14:16)

9th grader Santiago Salcedo, got 3rd in the 3200F/S, 11:17 and 7th in the 1600 F/S 5:03!

Way to go guys! Always Bears! Best of luck in the upcoming races!

Hello Golden Bear parents
So far it has been a great year. the kids are performing well beyond or greatest expectations. Every child has ether run personal best when comparing times from last year or as in the case of the new athletes run faster than the estimated time we had for them. We are now about to began the championship portion of Valley youth conference season. The Open meet championships are this Saturday 5/4 and League meet championship is on 5/11. If your child is a not a Gremlin and is ranked in the top 20 list of athletes there is a possibility of them being selected for the league meet. The selection process for League will be held on Wednesday 5/1, so contact your child's coach so we can know by the end of practice on Tuesday if he/she will be available to compete in league meet if selected. On Thursday 5/2 at 6pm at Sylmar High School is makeup picture day. All athletes should wear their uniforms for a full team picture will also be taken.
